Ana's research program is located within the field of sociolinguistics and has a transdisciplinary focus. Her research covers a wide range of topics: Creole studies, historical sociolinguistics, sociolinguistic theory, language and migration, as well as mobile communication.
We're welcoming three new members to our editorial board: Constant Leung (King’s College London), Raúl Alberto Mora Vélez (Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana), and Ana Deumert (University of Cape Town)!
Raúl's research explores second language literacies in urban spaces and gaming communities, the pedagogical implementation of literacies theories (with a particular interest in critical literacies) in ELT, and the use of sociocritical frameworks for language teaching.
Constant's research interests include education in ethnically and linguistically diverse societies, additional/second language curriculum and assessment, language policy and teacher professional development.
