Joint Counter Terrorist Mock Exercise Conducted at IGI Airport, Delhi
A Joint Counter Terrorist Mock Exercise was conducted at IGI Airport, New Delhi to validate operational preparedness and strengthen coordinated response mechanisms against potential security threats.
Personnel from CISF, Delhi Police, NSG, BDDS, CIW, DIAL, Delhi Fire Service (DFS), CATS Ambulance, BCAS, DGCA, ARFF and RAXA participated in the coordinated drill. The simulated counter-terrorism scenario assessed response time, inter-agency communication and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), while enhancing preparedness to deal with emerging security challenges.
The exercise demonstrated swift response, seamless coordination and operational readiness among all participating agencies, reaffirming CISF's commitment to robust aviation security, effective multi-agency collaboration and the safety of passengers and critical airport infrastructure.

DG CISF Reviews Security Arrangements for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026 at Jammu
Shri Praveer Ranjan, Director General, CISF along with senior officers visited Jammu to review the security arrangements for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026. The visit included a comprehensive assessment of security measures, medical response mechanism, fire safety preparedness, facilities, logistics and inter-agency coordination to ensure the safety, security and convenience of pilgrims.
During the visit, the DG inspected Bhagwati Nagar Base Camp, the Joint Police Control Room (JPCR), CCTV Control Room and the Tawi River Front. He also interacted with deployed personnel and pilgrims, reviewed the security framework on the ground and emphasized the importance of maintaining operational readiness, continuous vigilance and seamless coordination among all stakeholder agencies.
The DG also chaired a high-level security review meeting with senior officers of the CAPFs, J&K Police, Intelligence Bureau, Indian Army and other stakeholder agencies. DG CISF Reviews Security Preparedness for Ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026
Shri Praveer Ranjan, Director General, CISF, accompanied by Shri Sudhir Kumar, ADG (North) and Shri M. K. Yadav, DIG/NZ-II, visited Nunwan Base Camp, Pahalgam, to review the security arrangements for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026. The visit included a comprehensive assessment of deployment plans, access control measures, surveillance systems, communication networks, medical support, logistics and inter-agency coordination to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims.
During the visit, the DG inspected key operational locations, including check posts, communication centres, QRTs, QATs, CCTV Control Room and other critical security installations. He also interacted with deployed personnel, health workers and women personnel, appreciated their dedication and professionalism and emphasized the importance of maintaining the highest standards of operational readiness, strict adherence to SOPs, continuous vigilance and seamless coordination among all security agencies throughout the Yatra.
A high-level security review meeting was also chaired by the DG with senior officers of #CISF, #CRPF, #ITBP, #JammuAndKashmir Police and the civil administration to review the overall security architecture and preparedness. CISF signs a MoU with IIITDM Kancheepuram to provide specialized Cyber Security Training
In significant milestone #CISF an MoU with IIITDM Kancheepuram, Tamilnadu for conducting a specialized Cyber Security Training Programme w.e.f. 20.07.2026 for CISF personnel.
The MoU was signed by Shri M. V. Karthikeyan, Director, IIITDM Kancheepuram and Shri Mithlesh Kumar DIG, CISF RC RTC Thakkolam.
The event was graced by senior dignitaries from IIITDM, including Prof. Jayabal K., Dean (DIICE) and Shri A. Chidambaram, Registrar, along with Shri Nilesh Kumar, Sr. Commandant and other CISF Officers.
The collaboration marks a significant step towards strengthening CISF’s cyber security capabilities through specialized training and institutional support from IIITDM Kancheepuram. CISF Intensifies Crackdown on Illegal Coal Mining, Over 428 Metric Tonnes of Illegal Coal Recovered
In a major boost to the Government of India's Zero Coal Leakage initiative, CISF has intensified enforcement under the MMDR Act, 1957, against illegal coal mining, theft, unauthorized storage and transportation across coalfields in Jharkhand and WestBengal.
Through intelligence-driven operations conducted in coordination with Coal India subsidiaries, local police and district administration, CISF recovered over 428 metric tonnes of illegally mined, stored and transported coal, registered 04 FIRs, seized vehicles and equipment used in illegal activities and initiated legal action against the offenders.
The operations carried out across BCCL, ECL and CCL combined human intelligence, drone surveillance, surprise inspections and transit-route monitoring, reinforcing transparency and safeguarding the Nation's valuable mineral resources.
CISF remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting critical national assets and supporting the Government's efforts to curb illegal mining through proactive enforcement and inter-agency coordination.

CISF Detects Over 3.2 Kg Suspected Cannabis at Imphal Airport
Demonstrating utmost vigilance and alertness, CISF personnel at Imphal Airport detected approximately 3.220 kg of suspected Cannabis (Ganja) during random screening of a departing passenger's baggage.
During routine random X-BIS screening at the departure area, the baggage of a passenger travelling from Imphal to Delhi was screened. On detailed examination, three black plastic packets containing a substance suspected to be Cannabis (Ganja), weighing approximately 3.220 kg, were detected concealed inside the baggage.
The passenger, along with the baggage and the suspected contraband, was handed over to the local Police after due procedures for further investigation and legal action.
This successful detection highlights the Vigilance, Professionalism and unmatched Commitment of CISF personnel in safeguarding the nation's civil aviation sector and critical infrastructure.
