Hot take: it’s not your job to make things affordable. It’s your job to make sure cities are safe, businesses want to open here and can thrive, ensure efficient infrastructure, and improve education quality in our state. If you can also find a way for those who need safety nets to not need them for thr long haul and for crises like homelessness ans street level mental illness and addiction to improve, also great. Otherwise just get out of everyone’s way.
