Completely blown away by this.
Today I was recognised by President Zelenskyy with the Order of Merit. A profound honour.
Right now powerful people want the truth about Ukraine buried. It’s a privilege to be able to tell it. ❤️🇺🇦🔥
Every sign at this refinery in Ireland is in russian. The official website is a .RU domain.
There’s no reason to hide it because local politicians are openly doing it for them.
“There are people that died last night. Scary moments, not knowing what the next day will bring for our family, for our friends, and for Ukraine in general.”
Today, Roland Garros hosted a historic match: two Ukrainian tennis players — @ElinaSvitolina and Marta Kostyuk, met in a Grand Slam quarter final for the first time. Sadly, the unprecedented event was spoiled by another russian terrorist attack on their homeland that took many innocent lives.
Our ambassador took a moment to address it.
Marta Kostyuk after reaching Roland Garros semifinals:
"We played historical match today with Elina. We had very difficult night again in Ukraine, especially Kyiv. So many people dead. I want to give this match to Ukrainian people and their resilience. Thank you. Slava Ukraini!
I want to point out Elina and her incredible impact on Ukrainian tennis, on Ukrainians, on me and everyone who is watching. She is an unbelievable fighter and I'm so happy to be through semifinals, but I want to thank her again for this incredible match."
Marta Kostyuk has reached Roland Garros semifinals for the first time in Ukraine’s history. She became first Ukrainian in history to reach women’s semifinal of this clay-court Grand Slam.
Can someone explain to me why the so called civilized world can't bring itself together to stop russia from bombing the biggest country in Europe after over 4 years of full-scale war? Wtf is more important than stopping this?
💸 The Price of Evil: The World’s Fatal Blindness to Terror
Simply wasting millions of dollars just to murder Ukrainian civilians. The world deeply underestimates the level of hatred and the scale of Russia’s terror. If the world truly understood Russia, it would recoil in horror and immediately arrest the heads of the IOC, the UN, and other organizations where Russia still holds a place—along with every pro-Russian politician in every single country, and anyone who has shown even a shred of sympathy for the Russian Federation and their genocide. The fact that this hasn't happened yet proves that the world does not comprehend what is actually unfolding, nor does it grasp the true magnitude of the crime.
Last week, Franklin Graham suggested that people pray for Putin. Not for God to remove this evil man from power. Not for him to stop the genocide of the Ukrainian people. Not for him to confess his sins and repent. But simply for his wellbeing and wisdom.
What you are witnessing in Kyiv today is the result of such “prayers.” Yes, first and foremost, I blame Putin for this evil. But I also blame Franklin Graham and his supporters who, under the cover of “preaching the Gospel,” have blessed this genocidal regime.
If you want to pray for Putin, pray that God removes this evil man from power. Pray that God crushes the demonic spirit that has gripped all of russia. Pray that Putin confesses his sins before God and turns away from his genocidal war. Pray that Ukrainian children are returned to their families, prisoners are freed, and the killing stops.
Pray for justice to be done.
Today, I witnessed firsthand the consequences of yesterday’s Russian attack on Kyiv.
Russia is deliberately trying to break people through fear, darkness, and constant nighttime attacks. But every such strike reveals the true nature of Putin’s regime — a regime that recognizes neither human life, nor international law, nor borders.
And the Lukashenka regime bears its share of responsibility for this because it allowed Belarusian territory to be used for aggression, for launching missiles, and for deploying Russian weapons.
But I want Ukrainians to know: Belarusians stand with you. We support Ukraine not because it is ‘politically correct’, but because we feel this pain as our own.
We see your courage after every attack. That is true strength. And I am convinced: no missile can break a nation fighting for its freedom and dignity.
Republican politician John McCain was one of the few people who understood from the beginning what Putin was all about. This interview is from 2014.
It’s a shame most US politicians still lack this kind of clarity.
Canada's role in taking firm action – often trailblazing – to ramp up pressure against Russia and in rallying allies across the Atlantic to support Ukraine is greatly appreciated by Ukrainians. Ultimately, this is what will help bring Russia's war to an end. Thank you, Mark, and all Canadians for your support and condolences.
Yesterday, Russia launched one of its largest drone and missile attacks on Ukraine in four years.
Canada unequivocally condemns these indiscriminate attacks. I express my deepest condolences to those injured and everyone mourning their loved ones.
Canada stands with Ukraine as it defends itself against this unconscionable aggression and we will work with allies to sustain pressure on Russia to bring this conflict to an end.
Could you imagine the international uproar if Ukraine spent 15 hours sending 1500 missiles and drones into population centers all over Russia, mainly into apartment buildings, killing 15 people, including children?
Russia just did this, and no one cares, especially the White House.
Now we truly have a global Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children – from Canada and Latin America, from the United States and Argentina, to Europe and Japan. Today, Switzerland and Cyprus are joining our coalition. We now have almost 50 countries standing together in this coalition – and I am grateful for that.
Almost every month, we see results. Children come home. But many more still need to come home. We must clearly document where the children are, track the full chain of abduction and the cover-up of this crime, bring the children back, and help them find themselves again and return to normal life.
None of this is easy. But it is good that our Bring Kids Back UA initiative is working. It is good that you are active – at the level of the European Commission, European institutions, international organizations, and the leadership of every country. And I am especially grateful to the First Ladies who help to secure the release of these children. All of this must continue.
From an address to the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children (2/3).
