And this is a big reason why fewer #ADOS are married.
It was never a cultural deficiency, but a reflection of our economic position.
And it showed up first in our community because we’ve always been at the bottom.
This is also what happened during the Tulsa Race Massacre.
The racist white mob didn’t just burn homes—they looted. They were seen wearing clothes & jewelry stolen from the victims.
They stole furniture & pianos.
If you can’t teach Americans to right wrongs at home, it’s even less likely abroad.
#ADOS
It’s not about the boats as much as what happened once our ancestors got off those boats.
Our ancestors landed here & built America—the richest country in the world. America is not a small island. And both the economy & freedom struggle we built here is a specific contribution to the world.
And what we endured multigenerationally in a country where we’re the minority is also unique.
Lastly, all slavery did not end at the same time or in the same way. These are all important differences.
If your homeland is an island that you ran from to come to what #ADOS built, please know that we are not the same.
We are the standard. We are your refuge. We made your American life possible.
Don’t diminish us by comparing us to you.
It’s not just about getting enough Democrats to vote for reparations. We’ve had Democratic majorities & reparations was never a priority.
Our job is to PUSH Democrats to prioritize our issues. If not, we could get a filibuster proof Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate, a majority in the House, and a Democrat in the White House & still never get a reparations bill to the floor, let alone passed.
Obama was a Democrat & the first Black president. He opposed reparations. He would’ve still opposed reparations regardless of how large of a majority he had in Congress.
Politics 101 is understanding that we need a more radical Democratic Party if we’re ever going to get more radical Democratic policies.
Just electing more Democrats & hoping for the best won’t get us there. The current iteration of the Democratic Party won’t get us there.
Roland Martin won’t get us there. These are accommodationist people who only produce accommodationist outcomes.
And it’s right to point out that a generational shift may be what’s necessary to transform the Democratic Party.
Roland Martin once called reparations a pipe dream. He’s emblematic of everything that’s wrong with the Democratic Party.
There are a few “Black” male content creators in my city who’ve made ADOS hit pieces or taken shots at me for video content—but have never once reached out to have a real conversation.
They swear they love the Black community, but won’t engage in good faith when it’s right down the street? That tells me this is about content, not community.
That’s why I don’t take any of their “I love my community” or “I’m tryna build” talk seriously. It’s all about controversy for clicks.
And I don’t even know what state of manhood or masculinity this is… it’s gossipy & weak though…
ADOS has no affiliation with TN. And the theory that he’s a government asset isn’t new. This isn’t breaking news.
It’s been percolating in both white & #ADOS spaces for years.
History they don’t teach you: long before modern civil rights groups, Black Americans were already running national liberation networks. Moses Dickson co-founded the Knights of Liberty in the 1840s—a secret, disciplined Black resistance movement that organized across multiple states, raised money to buy people out of slavery, protected Black communities, and supported escape routes tied to the Underground Railroad. This wasn’t symbolism or begging for freedom—it was strategy, structure, and self-determination. The fact that this story is buried isn’t an accident; it disrupts the lie that Black Americans waited to be saved instead of organizing to free themselves.
