Been at Elsenham station waiting since 8:12 for the barrier to come up, it’s like this every day can someone please explain why there is such a significantly long wait this time of morning as the traffic literally is gridlocked the village @networkrail

@networkrail with the increasing traffic works around our area 10 mins of the barrier being down has gridlocked the village, please sort the tardiness out. 8 mins of the barrier being closed between trains is laziness

Between @CadentGasLtd and @AffinityWater we are officially locked into our village I really hope no one needs emergency services as the only exit we have involves a railway crossing which can be shut 10 mins at a time…

You have to question which clever person decided to authorize works that would leave 3/4 exits out of my village closed. I hope no one needs an ambulance and I hope the clever clogs that approved this is questioned @essexhighways

@networkrail please can you review the gate opening times between 8am -8:30am. Its getting steadily worse. You cannot pass the gate for nearly 20 steady mins and local traffic build up is dangerous. Happy to risk assess and submit to HSE

@CadentGasLtd That particular permit yes, then 3 metres down the road there’s another permit for 2 weeks, hence why it’s been going on for almost 3 months
