Sometimes I feel like I exist just to be useful to other people, then discarded at the first sign of wear. I spend months “fixing” myself, just to fall back into the same pattern. I’m tired, but unable to change.
One of the lessons I’m learning is that I can only rely on myself. I’m not allowed to crumble, there’s no one to hold me together but myself. Being there for others is really hard when you realize no one is there for you. Not when it really matters.
@delonperc It’s so painful, I wish she would just talk to me. I’m picking up extra shifts just to keep my mind busy. The second I get home, I just spiral. I miss my best friend.
How very Autistic of you to assume everyone else is just as well-intentioned and pure of heart as you are, only to end up brutally manipulated by someone who pretends to be a close "friend" so they can use you as a human shield or benefit from your labour.
the worst feeling is when you feel like you are disturbing the only person you wanna talk to when their replies feel colder shorter like they're just tolerating your presence instead of truly wanting it. You hesitate before texting, rewriting your words wondering if you're being too much for someone who once made you feel like you were just enough.
it hurts because all you wanted was their time, their attention, the warmth they used to give so effortlessly.
