Here used to be a cliché but my sister was not impressed so instead we have: These views are all my own, except the retweets, they’re actually someone else’s...
@ConsUltaNT_ACP@PaulaMc007 Yes, in many medical schools
Otoscopy has to be signed off but still done poorly. Those with less training shouldn’t be diagnosing. I support more teaching in ENT for anyone who might be diagnosing patients, outsourcing this to pharmacists will not improve patient care.
@theveindoc@BeAwesomeBeAdam The lack of productivity isn’t necessarily down to doctors. I get so frustrated at inefficiencies but despite trying, no one seems interested in making it better. It is frustrating but the solution isn’t pay me less, it’s listen to when we try and highlight the inefficiencies!
@DrSteveTaylor@RoshanaMN Great thread. Another method, offer patients a date for surgery with less than 2 weeks notice. If the refuse can say patient declined treatment.
@GoaleeMurph@hockeymatchteas We once got one pizza to share between the whole team. Wasn’t even enough for a slice each for the 11 players who started on the pitch.
Not for the first time this season, opposition has come, enjoyed the teas, helped themselves to seconds so clearly enjoyed them. Not even a thank you on leaving. @hockeymatchteas when did this become a thing? Are manners a thing of the past?
@cannula_service Sometimes if you accept a referral and it’s something else, it can be difficult to get another speciality to review and take over care. This results in sub standard care. In some trusts, it stays under admitting team until moved to speciality ward but A+E get priority for beds.
1/17 Important thread 🧵 on the unnecessary complexity of pensions taxation and why it's unreasonable to expect individuals to "estimate" liabilities when administrators struggle. Please read to the end. #NHSPension#PensionTax
Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe’s ordeal feels so much more painful now I have children. The drama about her experience makes for a very painful watch. Treasure every moment, you never know when it’ll be snatched away from you to be a pawn in someone else’s game.
This isn't a drama. It's a warning.
The new BBC drama, Prisoner 951, tells the story of Richard and Nazanin’s fight for justice.
Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe and Anoosheh Ashoori were unjustly imprisoned in Iran, and Amnesty UK campaigned for their release.
@goldstone_tony Absolutely - the fact they confirm they don’t even have a timeframe. This is for any year that you request. I’ve so far been waiting 9 months and nothing.
@goldstone_tony@ilovepathology I’ve been asking for months for a few years that I’m missing not just 23/24 and they just keep replying saying there’s no time frame in which I will receive any of them. Makes planning so frustrating!
Mind you, don’t know why I expect better. On the official @EnglandHockey umpiring course, the person leading made inappropriate comments about “certain clubs”.
Opposition mocking one of our players for the way she talks today and her accent. That’s 2025 @EnglandHockey for you. When their player was injured by their own team we still rushed to help. Because we are decent human beings. Why can’t everyone be a decent human being?
