@iconawrites In the 60s, played with dolls but also cars (my friend's little brother's). Helped my Dad in the garden raking grass & using push mower from age 6, motor mower from about nine.
Helped my Mum cook too.
Always on a bike or roller skates (often both at once!).
Just being a child!
@MsPinkBehavior School day 9 to 3.40 with an hour for lunch. Two 10 min breaks.
3 hours homework from age 11.
That was early 70s.
Even with the train plus tube to London, 6.40 working day was no worse.
@AllotmentCat When I was a kid we did this.
Kept the young (wild born) cat in the house for 2 weeks, then when he was let out had butter on his paws.
This was meant to make him sit & wash himself and subconsciously take in his surroundings so he could find his way back home to us which he did.
@Allison_in_CO@mrscmway Took a year before I fell apart after my husband's sudden death.
A year just distressed he wasn't there & not really accepting it, then a year struggling as just a widow (no children), then a year improving & finding myself again. CBT really helped in 2nd year. It will get better
@suzanne_volante@to_widow Try going on themed holidays you are interested in, Gardens, music nature, walking etc.
You would be with like minded people, both singles & couples and there will be organised things to do so you know you will be busy, feel safe out and about and not alone unless you want to be.
@BlobBeans2117@sociabledog Our cat was born outside to a stray, never saw humans until 8 weeks old, never in a house until 3 months.
He was wonderful with us, but, terrified of loud noise, and never got over his fear of strangers. Yowled to go out whenever people came. Liked my grandparents though.
@KatharineSteedm@ChrisGPackham It was people breaking the rules like this that lead to Covid spreading rapidly and getting into the Nursing Home, where both my parents were in Jan 2021, and, just a couple of weeks before their first vaccines were due.
Seven died, about a 1/4 of the residents. NOT acceptable.
@AFCWhyteleafe As the Church Road ground doesn't belong to AFC Whyteleafe they have no control over what happens there except when they are playing there.
