@nic_carter If / when we go back to “BTC go up” time, this will trade back to 100 and MSTR will run high too. Just gotta survive the low. STRC probably works 95% of the time. We just happen to be in that 5% lowest time… STRC model gets super strained given how big BTC drawdowns can get…
@nic_carter There is some truth here. But I think it misses by still framing STRC like the pref of a “normal company”. Zoom out and this is still a bullish play on BTC. Less risky than MSTR but still. Regardless of how they’ve been marketing it / “digital credit”. And it’s dark times for BTC
@heyitkb@lanadel_rules 100% Ii’s hard enough mentally… and figure skating is probably one of the most mental… unlike racing sports where time is what’s important (or beating someone else), figure skating’s different. And 1 bad interviewer asking badly worded, pressure-increasing questions, can hurt!
@DanishPastry@wyshynski 100% this is bad aggregation. If you listened to the mailbag pod, a Blue Jackets fan asks the question and made the claim it was the Blue Jackets… also the term “irrelevant” is a bit of a misnomer based on how the hypothetical question was phrased (again by a Jackets fan)p
@CrayCrayBlocker@WallStreetApes Also, the way this is shown is misleading. Over a 30yr period, the compounding of interest is huge. $784k home (assume 90% mortgage / 10% down) = $705k. Even at just 3%, total payments would be $705k x 1.03^30 =$1.7M. It just sounds like a lot when you add it like this
@CrayCrayBlocker@WallStreetApes You’re right. But also just to how this is characterized: 1) this is how mortgages work. Same monthly payment forever, but more of the earlier years (5-10) of the 30 are made up more of interest. 2) so the period after 5yrs (of 30) is the worst time to look at interest paid
@jhenrytn I had just picked this book up yesterday. What a force for Kingdom-building Kay was! She continues to teach future generations of Christians like myself! As she joins God, I know she will be greeted with what we all hope to hear, “Well done my good and faithful servant” 🙏❤️
@luckii1v@glitterlean@AndromedaPowPow@BoujeeNBanjee Yah I think they were referring to her iPhone Wallet, where you can download boarding tickets for easier access. I believe when you do that, it’s “locked at the timr”, so even if for some reason your seat number changes afterwards, the wallet still shows the old seat number…
@Eyal_A @imma_shiro @engineers_feed Yes Sonique was revolutionary in its visual design, and in sound quality. I remember their mp3 decoder was better than Winamp’s, and drove Winamp to come out with Nitrane (decoder in Winamp v2 I think). In the end, Winamp had huge user advantage, but I used Sonique a lot
@MitchGerads @DocShaner @TomKingTK 11/11: As I’ve heard Tom say, “comics are a deadline medium!” I don’t remember if there were a few delays during the latter issues, but no one cares now - the right story lives on forever in collected format. What a tour de force this was, kudos again team Strange Adventures!
@MitchGerads @DocShaner @TomKingTK 10/11: As Tom mentioned in the foreword, having 2 artists in Mitch and Doc of their caliber, style and tone, added so much to the storytelling here. Was amazing and impactful. Must’ve needed amazing coordination to work, moreso given it came out first in single issues!
