Yesterday’s election showed that San Franciscans support the progress we are making and want us to continue the momentum. I know we still have work to do—and we are going to keep our foot on the accelerator to continue getting results for our residents.
Thank you to the voters for Passing Prop A to help make sure our city is prepared in the event of an emergency. And congratulations to Supervisors Stephen Sherrill, Alan Wong, and School Board President Phil Kim. I look forward to continuing working together to serve San Franciscans.
We are just getting started. Let’s go, San Francisco.

The San Francisco election results were welcome news for Mayor Daniel Lurie, with early returns showing voters siding with him in local races in which he made an endorsement.

Daniel Lurie wasn’t on the ballot Tuesday night, but that didn’t stop him from being the city’s biggest political winner: Two of his allies won special elections, plus competing tax measures that he opposed are both on track to fail.

Federal healthcare cuts did not make this budget easy. But as Mayor @DanielLurie said today, "In our city, we step up. We solve problems. And we look out for one another."
That's what this budget does.

Today, Mayor @DanielLurie announced his proposed budget. Facing hundreds of millions of $$ in federal cuts that will kick people off healthcare and food assistance, Mayor Lurie is investing in strengthening the safety net and standing up for our families and our values.
How? 🧵
And at the end of the day, government still needs to deliver core services. So Mayor @DanielLurie is committing $71 million—a major investment—to fill potholes.
Safe, clean streets will always be the priority.

We’re doing things differently in San Francisco when it comes to homelessness. And we’re seeing results.
- Nearly 1,000 fewer people are sleeping on our streets compared to 2024—a major sign that our strategy is working.
- Unsheltered homelessness in San Francisco is now at its lowest level in 15 years.
- The number of people in tents is down 85%.
These numbers come from the 2026 Point in Time Count. The takeaway is clear: More people are coming inside to get shelter and treatment, and we are moving in the right direction.

I talked to SF Mayor @DanielLurie about how he's bringing down crime dramatically in the city...which is making @realDonaldTrump less likely to send in the troops.
