Thank you to our grantee, @TheCRCL, for honoring us with the Corporate Partner of the Year Award! We are grateful to have worked with you throughout the years to help provide grants for early childhood education and look forward to our continuing work together.
We are proud to partner with @ShareOurSpare and @DPIL_stratford to ensure that every child has books of their own at home. Please help spread the word to enroll more families for free monthly books at https://t.co/mVWn6LbFiH.
Congratulations to our grantee, @TheCRCL, on the re-opening of their flagship Little Village site following onsite upgrades. From fundraising to design to execution, Bela Mote and the team at Carole Robertson led with intentionality and thoughtfulness. We were honored to be a part of their ribbon-cutting day.
The CME Group Foundation’s 2024-25 Early Childhood Education Initiative invested $1.77M across 27 Chicagoland area organizations to support early childhood education. Grantees directly supported more than 152,000 early learners, with 85% of students showing a measurable increase in essential kindergarten skills.
Additionally, by empowering over 800 educators with professional development, we built a foundation for lifelong success across Illinois.
CME Group Foundation’s 2024-25 K-12 Innovation Initiative strived to ensure Chicago's classrooms are hubs of technical talent and innovation. We invested $1.43M to prepare students for the future by providing nearly 12,000 students with vital computer science education. As a result, we supported more than 1,700 STEM educators and 1,200 school leaders. Of those who participated, 90% showed increased proficiency.
CME Group Foundation is proud to have invested more than $1M in 14 grantees providing trauma-responsive mental health services to girls. Our Chicago partners served over 2,400 girls, with 86% reporting improved mental health and 90% showing increased confidence.
CME Group Foundation’s College and Career Success Portfolio invested $1.9M to empower local students to enroll and succeed in postsecondary education and transition to a strong first job. The grantees achieved a 100% on-time high school graduation rate. With 73% of these students being the first in their families to attend college, we are proud to help bridge the gap from education to high-demand careers.
CME Group Foundation reached a major milestone in 2025, investing nearly $6.5M across 124 grantee partners. Our collective efforts provided direct support to 187,393 students, with 78% coming from low-income households.
By serving families across 73 Chicago community areas, we strive to ensure that every student—from birth to career—has the tools to achieve their full potential.

High school senior Gregory Mitchell taught computer science to a class of rising 8th graders through the Chicago Pre-College Science and Engineering Program. This summer program is redefining summer school by challenging and engaging students in meaningful content, developing the next generation of computer scientists, mathematicians and scientists. #STEM
As part of our funding to support the mental health and wellbeing of Chicago girls, the Foundation proudly supports @FairiesFocus. Our Executive Director visited a session where girls had two mentors lead them through an activity to create a safe space for their summer discussions. The activity gave the girls something incredibly important: time to build relationships and meaningful connection.
