A year ago today, Sheffield Wednesday supporters boycott their home match v Middlesbrough. A show of strength.

Talks had been taking place behind the scenes to move the club into administration for nearly two weeks, with Chansiri holding out against legal advice.

Read at the time was that it had got to the point that administration was inevitable, even for someone as unpredictable as DC. The walls were closing in on stadium debt in particular and money wasn’t coming in to hold out until January.

Such a vivid protest certainly didn’t hurt.
