Trump said Friday that the Strait of Hormuz situation was "over." It very obviously wasn't.

Trump said Friday that Iran agreed "to never close the Strait of Hormuz again.” The next day, Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz again.

Trump said yesterday that Vance isn't going to Pakistan for the talks. Officials quickly said Vance is going to Pakistan for the talks.

Trump said this morning that Vance had left and would be there tonight Islamabad time. Officials quickly said Vance is actually leaving tomorrow.

Trump said Iran has no military anymore and that "everything's gone." Iran continues to have a military with destructive capabilities.

Trump said the pope issued a statement saying Iran can have a nuclear weapon. That never happened.  

Trump said nobody expected Iran to retaliate against Gulf countries. That was widely expected.

Trump said the only planes the US has really lost in the war have been to friendly fire. He said this at the same event at which he had spoken at length about what happened after Iran shot down a US plane.

Trump has not ended eight wars.

Among other problems with his list, it includes:

- A diplomatic dispute between Egypt and Ethiopia that was not a war
- Some sort of mystery situation between Serbia and Kosovo that also was not a war
- The war in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo that has not ended despite a Trump administration-brokered peace agreement never signed by the rebel group leading the fighting

Trump’s repeat claim that Biden let in 11,888 murderers is an inaccurate description of federal data.

He appears to be referring to ICE data about immigrants who entered the country legally or illegally over the course of decades, *including during Trump’s own first administration,* not just under Biden…were convicted of homicide at some point, usually in the US after arriving…and are still in the country, often in prison, while being listed on ICE’s “non-detained docket.”

US importers, not foreign countries, make the tariff payments to the US government. And study after study, in both of Trump’s presidential terms, found US businesses and consumers are bearing the overwhelming majority of the costs of his tariffs.
