Considering what I know first hand, and what I could be saying, I have been incredibly charitable, even favorable to MLS (along with specific executives within).

The reason a particular demographic cannot appreciate this, is they have no idea what goes on behind the scenes.

In some cases, straight evil occurs.

This is what happens with monopoly power.

"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

Once and a while someone dares to surface a truth, and folks catch a momentary glimpse.

But just a glimpse.

And just for a moment.

For example, today, apparently a 2008 USYNT U15 kid playing for Oklahoma City, Rogelio Garcia, is getting screwed by MLS.

Now, I say "apparently" because I don't know the details or authenticity of this story.

But, I do know from direct experience along with countless authenticated stories, that this type of situation happens all the time.

And folks, not to diminish the plight of this mother, player, and family, but this is merely the tip of the iceberg.

The worst thing?

We have a group of people positioned as journalists/reporters who either ignore or actually work to obfuscate or simply make light of things like this.

Nevermind digging deep into the root cause of such matters (a closed ecosystem, monopoly power).

It is in this latter point, that it becomes abundantly clear these "journalists" are not that at all. But rather, propagandists.

Now, I understand MLS and even admire how they achieved monopoly and work to preserve it. I'd likely do the same. It's great for business.

But I do not accept the total lack of integrity from folks positioned as "journalists" in this space.

Sure, they *might say a thing or two about "territory rights" or this or that rule, and maybe MLS will change that, but that's not what ultimately matter at all. What matters is monopoly power.

What matters is opportunity and freedom. Not just for cases like Rogelio, but for everyone in the ecosystem. Be they a youth player, a pro player, a coach, a club, a non-metropolitan community, anyone at all, and yes, an aspiring journalist who wants to tell the truth, but is petrified their access and career will be pulled if they dare tell the truth.

Do I have an "agenda"?

Absolutely, just like the rest of you.

My agenda is opportunity and freedom for Rogelio and all of us nationwide. A meritocracy.

@PlanItCoach Dribbling is the foundation of the game. You may not always have a passing option and have to dribble out of trouble. Kids ata young age are also egocentric and don’t want to pass so dribbling should be first.
