PD Nero & Harley, raising funds for @UK_COPS

@HumbugAndToby That’s a very good disguise

[Christine Fulton @CFMBE]

The dog rescue centre I volunteer at is doing a sponsored walk in aid of @UK_COPS and in memory of the six police officers who have died on duty this year. Please support if you can. @PSOSEAyrshire anyone fancy joining us? https://t.co/x26M9hyJGU

@Tiggers_Tails @Mr_Pelucchi Happy birthday

[Christine Fulton @CFMBE]

The first ‘go-fund me’ have appeared on Facebook. Please, please do not donate to any funds until an official one is launched from Cleveland Police or their Federation. The collection may be genuine but equally it may not and the money will never reach the officers family.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Sadly, the lovely Big Bark weekend, due to take place this coming Saturday and Sunday at @CirencesterPark has been postponed today, due to rising temperatures at the weekend.

The decision has not been taken lightly, but is completely with the welfare of the dogs in mind - it’s simply too hot.

All tickets will be honoured for the new dates - 18th and 19th of October - and we look forward to seeing you all then.

Stay cool out there!

A thread:

I hesitate before I post this, but I was sent a media piece yesterday by numerous people, regarding the tragic loss of PD Zara from @PSOSDogs and I have been moved to say something, because no one else has had the courage to do so.

I think we need to look beyond the comments made in the press, and online, and realise things are never that clear cut, & I would suggest only the bits, conveniently, that were bound to cause the most outrage, were made public.

Let’s put aside the emotion for a moment, which I know is very hard to do as we’re talking about an animal, but it’s clear Zara’s injuries were far more complex than originally reported.

In fact, scratch that, I KNOW they were more serious than has been publicised. It is not my story, or my place to give fuller details, but I can tell you this. (Cont).

I visited this dog last week. Unfortunately she's a little to old to become a Police Dog. She will make an amazing pet though. Nice manners, good toy and food drive, walked nice on the lead. She wanted to engage with us. She's definitely worth a visit 🥰

Thank you to everyone who supported us through @easyuk
We are now closing our account with them since we've raised our funds. If you would still like to support Police Dogs we can suggest one of the 18 local RPDs charities @AssociationRPDs or @The_NFRSA
