i'm in love with this quote:
"if you're persistent, you'll get it. if you're consistent, you'll keep it. and if you're grateful, you'll attract more of it."
When people talk about “it takes a village” nobody wants to include the fact that checking bad behavior and holding adults within the village accountable, is apart of that.
The more you focus on yourself, the more fulfilled you’ll become. You’ve got a mind to sharpen, a body to build, a career or business to build, a family to nurture, a community to pour into, books to read there’s no time to worry about what everyone else is doing.
The Pentagon is the only place in America where you can fail 8 audits in a row, admit you’ll fail the next few & still get handed more money than you asked for.
But let a family need help buying groceries and suddenly it’s a lecture about hard work, responsibility & bootstraps.
I JUST HEARD SOMEONE SAY
"MAYBE YOU DON'T NEED MORE TIME TO HEAL, MAYBE YOU NEED MORE EXPERIENCES THAT SHOW YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM A DIFFERENT REALTY"
AND, YEAH.
Good people have high levels of empathy, but once that empathy is exhausted, they switch to a state of objective observation. They see you for exactly who you are, without the filter of their love. This is why their anger feels so cold, it is the absence of the warmth you took for granted
