NOT EVEN RUNNING LOCALLY GLM IS SO GOOD FOR ITS PRICE.
The https://t.co/Hd08nVWiuW desktop app is almost identical to codex, but easy to add model providers. Native connection to telegram and other connectors with a bot token. Easy to switch models live even in same session. https://t.co/Hd08nVWiuW crushed GLM 5-5.2. Of all opensource models it is the one orchestrator I have consistently seen execute long running tasks effectively whether legal domains, financial, webdev/programming. Each iteration since 4.5 of GLM progressed rapidly. Best model from China.
I can't believe this is real
I have GLM 5.2 running 100% locally on my Mac Studio. 2 bit quant.
The results I'm getting are better than Opus 4.8
It's now powering my Hermes Agent and Codex. 100% free, local, private super intelligence on my desk
I also have it in a loop coding for me 24/7 now
I thought we were at least a year away from this type of event. It happened today.
The model takes up about 250gb of memory. So you can technically run it on a Mac Studio with 256gb, but you probably want the 512gb memory version (please tell me you listened to me 5 months ago when these were sitting on store shelves)
With Fable gone, I now have Opus 4.8 level intelligence on my desk for free. This is the future.
Local, private, secure, personal super intelligence.
If you're still writing off local AI as a fad or engagement bait, you are officially delusional
@thegenioo i did a couple b tokens with glm 5.1 not 5.. there were days i had gpt 5.5 or opus / sonnet orchestrating and it fell back to glm 5.1 and i wouldnt notice for 3-4 days until it would just do something or say something i dont see with american models. using 5.2 heavy rn to test
@johnfgately@Tril1boswagginz@scaling01 You need a license to purchase a gun for a dealer. Private sales are different. You are using a model from a dealer. Show a license. If you want the peer to peer exception, use the opensource models :)
@johnfgately@Tril1boswagginz@scaling01 Normally very against giving up digital privacy but if itโs prevent flagship access for risk, Iโm happy to be traceable for my usage when cyber is a risk, if that means access to premier intelligence
@latentlocal@jun_song Iโm going to guess if itโs limited to web dev maybe. If itโs white collar work thereโs no shot. Kimi while great makes more much law / finance mistakes that fable opus and 5.5 donโt.
