Call it what it is. This money is intended to bribe @MayorGinther and @cbuscitycouncil into giving a billionaire $150,000,000 of public tax money in return.
Incredible investment returns for the billionaire.
One of the Deputy Directors responsible for this resigned. Another is still employed by Safety, and is responsible for several other recent HR related lawsuits, settlements etc. The current @ColumbusSafety Director was @MayorGinther Chief of Staff when this happened and Ginther’s office was directly involved in the illegal, unethical and malicious conduct against the sergeant that led to this unprecedented settlement.
In a city with a minimally functioning media, all of this would have already been exposed.
@cbustruth@ColumbusSafety@ColumbusPolice I can only hope they end up paying DC Ali a large sum as well. I know personally what that HR on the 7th floor is all about. Truly horrible all under the guise of being “helpful”. I remember when that place was a family. Certainly anything but today.
@megynkelly What part of “no boots on the ground” does Trump not understand? If he’s sending that many, he’s putting at least some of them on the ground.
@cbustruth@ColumbusPolice Well said DC. Now if they would just leave DC Alli alone to do his job. He’s one of the most honorable, squared aware, respect for all & honest men I ever had the pleasure to know during my career. Was it not enough what they did to Cmdr Mike Gray???
“10TV asked @ColumbusPolice why Smith was still a member of the division, but it said it would not discuss personnel matters.”
🤡🤡🤡
Suddenly CPD won’t discuss “personnel matters”
It’s not a “personnel matter” that Lacy was asking about. It’s a management and supervision matter. Why have Ass. Chief Konves, Chief Bryant and @ColumbusSafety Deputy Director Doug Sarff allowed Smith to literally sit at home for almost two years while he did nothing productive?. They paid him $185,000 to do nothing and they nearly wound up with a civilian dead at his hands, or a police involved shooting with him while still employed. All while failing to process a simple investigation into his misconduct.
These three utterly failed their most basic responsibilities by refusing to deal with Smith. They investigated, fired, arbitrated and then were forced to rehire an officer for having political opinions with which they disagreed in less time.
Refusing to discuss this matter is a scandal. Hopefully it’s one of the reasons @MayorGinther appears ready to move on from Bryant. Her contract is up in about 80 days. Ginther refused to give the most competent, well liked, professional and ethical Fire Chief the city has ever known a second term. It appears he’s going to cut Bryant loose as well and begin the process of healing all of the terrible damage she has done. If she goes, Konves and Potts will be gone also. The Division would be immeasurably better off.
Looks like our efforts to shame @cbuscitycouncil@MayorGinther and @CityAttyKlein are beginning to pay dividends!
But never forget, they knew this money was dirty years ago but kept it anyway. They are only folding now because of our work to shame them into this decision.
Someone pointed out that the same Chief once testified in an Arbitration hearing that the Chief didn't know the Division's Directives that the Chief wrote.
Kid Rock sings the final song, Cody Johnson’s ‘Til You Can’t, under his real name Robert Ritchie, adding a verse in honor of Charlie Kirk and delivering a stunningly powerful performance. Wow.
The chief of he @MinneapolisPD has the same option as the chief @ColumbusPolice Elaine Bryant.
They can stand behind lunatic, radical Mayors who support lawlessness and criminal aliens, or they can have the courage to uphold their oath. But, they can’t do both.
Look, if @MayorGinther wants to order @ColumbusPolice Bryant to change the policy she wrote, he’s certainly able to do so.
But, we’re not going to just sit here and accept their Orwellian head fake that the policy doesn’t say what it says.
CPD officers are REQUIRED by policy to notify not just some random @ICEgov phone number. They are literally required to notify the Detention and Removal Office directly when encountering a suspected illegal immigrant.
