@kenshin3265@lukescarif No it dosent in the slightest, there’s a brief pause between him cutting his arm off and when he throws his saber away after deciding not to kill his father, this is where he chooses not to kill his father cause it would’ve been justifiable but he instead decided a jedis path
@StarWarsMeg1 No actor deserves that level of hate
Plus Whatever criticisms there are of the sequels none of it should be on Daisy’s portrayal or Rey as both were two of the strongest parts of the trilogy
@kenshin3265@lukescarif The two can be separate but in this given scenario they aren’t.
he gave into his anger and tried to kill him, regarding going for the hand, Vader was using his saber to defend himself, Luke logically first disarmed him leaving him vulnerable but then decided to spare his father.
@kenshin3265@lukescarif No my friend he absolutely tries to kill Vader when he’s slamming his saber down on him and it’s only once he cuts off Vaders arm disarming him that he resists his darkness and throws his saber away refusing to kill his father.
Before then he absolutely lost it
@MandoFaithful But it also misses the point, if she felt that strongly about leaving her then you’re gonna have to come up with an extremely good reason why she did and I don’t think you can
@lukescarif Yeah you’re probably right there, To be honest I think another big problem is also a lot of them same people misunderstanding the fact TLJ shows 3 different versions of the flashback and then seeming to concentrate on only Ben’s version and thinking of it as 100% factual
@Claagu163 Seemed they used it mainly just to show that Palpatine was always working on cloning long before the sequels and basically used clone force 99 to tell that story, was hoping for more of a clone rebellion type situation which they kind of teased at with Rex but was crumbs really
@Avesvery Honestly the only way I see it happening is by Luke taking Vader and escaping without telling anyone, too many people especially within the rebellion it’s self would be wanting Vaders head even if they knew he killed palps
@StarWarsMeg1 People overuse the phrase ‘nostalgia bait’now too the point no media can have flashbacks to previous media without some nonce calling it bait
