he gave into his anger and tried to kill him, regarding going for the hand, Vader was using his saber to defend himself, Luke logically first disarmed him leaving him vulnerable but then decided to spare his father.

@kenshin3265 @lukescarif No my friend he absolutely tries to kill Vader when he’s slamming his saber down on him and it’s only once he cuts off Vaders arm disarming him that he resists his darkness and throws his saber away refusing to kill his father.

@lukescarif Yeah you’re probably right there, To be honest I think another big problem is also a lot of them same people misunderstanding the fact TLJ shows 3 different versions of the flashback and then seeming to concentrate on only Ben’s version and thinking of it as 100% factual
