Karyakartas of ABVP Tamil Nadu today met
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Shri C. Joseph Vijay at the State Secretariat and submitted a 16-point memorandum concerning various student issues across the state.

The delegation highlighted key demands including introduction of Tamil language courses, conduct of students’ union elections in universities and colleges, increased budgetary allocation for educational infrastructure & research, appointment of Vice Chancellors in vacant universities, and formation of a special anti-narcotics task force near educational campuses to ensure a drug-free Tamil Nadu.

Chief minister immediately agreed to 8 demands and assured consideration on the remaining issues as well. ABVP remains committed towards safeguarding student interests and strengthening the educational environment in Tamil Nadu.

More than a decade has passed since ABVP karyakarta Vishal Kumar was brutally murdered, yet justice remains elusive. Vishal was just 19, a young student who believed in service, ideas, and democratic student politics.

His killing was not just an attack on an individual, but an assault on campus democracy and the right of students to think freely.

We demand justice for Vishal and accountability from the system that failed him. ABVP stands resolutely with Vishal’s family and will continue this fight until justice is delivered. Silence is not an option. Forgetting is not an option.
