The bourgeois state is in profound crisis as U.S. finance, tech, oil, and military capital attempt to re-calibrate in the face of stiff competition from other imperialist centers and socialist China. Activists, union members, and community leaders gathered at United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 600 to commemorate the Ford Hunger March.

The memorial event honored the sacrifices of those who fought for workers’ rights and reflected on the ongoing struggles for jobs, housing, healthcare, anti-discrimination, and unemployment relief.

Over 700 union grocery workers rallied outside an Albertsons store here on February 28, demanding a new contract as the previous agreement was set to expire on March 2.

According to United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 324, the “Big Grocery” companies—Kroger and Albertson’s—have yet to present serious proposals on wages, healthcare, and staffing levels.

Call your Senators and Representative in Congress and tell them to refuse to allow Donald Trump's unconstitutional executive order ending birthright citizenship to stand. Denying citizenship to infants born in the U.S. of immigrant parents is a brazen attempt to overturn the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. It is being challenged in court by 22 states. The 14th Amendment is clear -- every person born on U.S. soil has the right to full citizenship and to live life freely in the country where they were born.
