Thank you to everyone from Bow and beyond who joined our public meeting on the use of Victoria Park for festivals.

This isn’t about stopping people having fun over the summer, it’s about finding a solution that works for local residents and keeps the park accessible to all.

Alongside my neighbouring Labour MPs @rushanaraa and @meghilliermp, we’ve heard your concerns loud and clear.

We are united in making sure your voices are heard by Tower Hamlets Council and AEG, and that you have a real say as residents in decisions about the park’s future.

Victoria Park is the People’s Park – and it’s only right that the people have a say in how it’s used.

The High Commissioner recognized the contributions made to the UNHCR budget by the EU, Japan, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark & Germany.
But no mention of the US & UK, traditionally two of the agency's most important donors.
