Eid el Maulud Message to Nigerians
On this sacred occasion of Eid el Maulud, I extend warm felicitations to our Muslim brothers and sisters, as you honour the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, whose life remains a beacon of compassion, justice, humility, and service to humanity.
As you celebrate, we must all reflect on the state of our nation. Nigeria is confronted with pressing challenges, including economic hardship, insecurity threatening communities, and a crisis of confidence in governance. Yet, the Prophet’s example teaches us that adversity can be overcome through faith, unity, and moral leadership.
This commemoration is not only a celebration but a solemn call to action. We must recommit ourselves to building a Nigeria where justice is upheld, and unity is strengthened across ethnic and religious divides.
We must prioritize the welfare of ordinary Nigerians, ensure accountability, inclusive governance, and foster a spirit of patriotism to overcome our challenges as a nation.
As we mark Eid el Maulud, let us draw inspiration from the Prophet’s teachings to rekindle hope, strengthen our bonds, and build a Nigeria that works. May this season bring peace and joy to our homes.
Happy Eid el Maulud!
Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi
Did you know that the record of zero piracy incidents currently enjoyed by Nigeria and the Gulf of Guinea, applauded by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and the International Maritime Bureau, was the brainchild of former Minister of Transportation, @ChibuikeAmaechi?
The success of yesterday’s convention is a testament that the ADC in partnership with the Nigerian people is courageous and determined to take out the Tinubu-led undemocratic government, and this is non-negotiable.
We must strive as a party and as a people to achieve our goal by working together against all odds. Like I said at the convention, we must be decisive and rally around a viable candidate. We must stick together and show this wicked and unreasonable tyrant government of the APC, out of power.
Nigerians have suffered enough. We will work with the majority of Nigerians to restore dignity to our country and people, and ensure that safety of lives and property of our citizens and residents everywhere in the country is sacrosanct. We will work to restore democratic ideals to our dear country, to bring to bear a government that is transparent, responsible, and accountable to the people.
ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER MASSACRE
I am deeply saddened by the reports from Plateau State of the brutal attack on innocent citizens in Angwan Rukuba, Jos on Palm Sunday. How long must the people of Plateau wait for relief? How long must Nigerians endure sleepless nights, living in fear of violence and death?
The Tinubu-led government has failed to confront this menace with the boldness and seriousness it demands. Enough of the callousness. These are human beings, our fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, and children being slaughtered daily while those entrusted with the duty to protect lives and property look the other way.
Insecurity, the killing of innocent citizens by criminals, bandits and other non-state actors must be addressed decisively and immediately. Tomorrow is too late. We proved in Rivers State that criminality can be fought and defeated. It can be done in Nigeria too. Enough of the excuses. Enough of the negligence. Nigerians deserve safety, peace, and dignity.
Government must rise to its responsibility NOW! Protect Lives and Property!
HAPPY EID EL-FITR
In commemoration of the joyous occasion of Eid el-Fitr, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all our Muslim brothers and sisters across the nation. This sacred celebration, following the holy month of Ramadan, is a reminder of the sacrifice, discipline, compassion, and shared values that bind us together as one people.
While it is a time of thanksgiving to Almighty Allah, Eid el-Fitr is also a time to reflect on our collective responsibility as Nigerians, to build a society grounded on justice, peace, and mutual respect. It is a call to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, to care for the less privileged, and to renew our commitment to the ideals of tolerance and harmony.
At a time when our nation faces diverse challenges, let us draw inspiration from the lessons of Ramadan which includes patience in adversity, generosity in abundance, and faith in the promise of a brighter tomorrow.
Together, we can overcome insecurity, hunger, and disunity, and work towards building a better future and prosperity for all.
May Allah accept your prayers and sacrifices, and may His grace continue to guide and protect you. I wish every Muslim a blessed Eid, and may the peace and blessings of this season abide with us all.
Eid Mubarak!
Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi
President Bola Tinubu’s government is killing Nigerians, literally destroying lives. He has failed in the most sacred duty of protecting the lives of the citizens of this country. The Monday bombings in Maiduguri is not just a tragedy, it is a damning indictment of a leadership that has grown complacent, abysmally incompetent, and indifferent to the sufferings and death of Nigerians to ravaging bandits.
Nigerians cannot continue to mourn and live in fear, while Tinubu and his lackeys at the helm of affairs in the country, live lavishly and ostentatiously while failing to take decisive actions to put an end to the raging insecurity.
While families mourn and communities live in fear, those in power issue hollow statements and make empty promises. In fact now, they don’t bother to make promises anymore. They just move on as if nothing happened. Tinubu would rather be dining and partying in London while Nigeria burns. They just don’t care!
How many more lives must be lost before they admit their failure? How many more communities must be shattered and destroyed before they take decisive action? Insecurity has become the daily reality of ordinary citizens, and yet the government continues to stumble, unprepared and unwilling to confront the menace with the seriousness it demands.
Nigerians deserve safety, peace, and dignity, not negligence and continued excuses. If those in power cannot guarantee that, then they have no business clinging to authority. Leadership is not about rhetoric, it is about responsibility, action, and making the right decisions for the good of the people. Right now, this government has abandoned that responsibility, and the nation is paying the price.
I sympathize with the people of Borno state, the victims of the bombings and their innocent families whose lives have now been shattered because of Tinubu’s government failure to protect them. My prayers are with you.
If a government cannot guarantee the safety of its people, then it has no right to remain in power. President Tinubu should resign. He has failed woefully to perform his basic responsibility of protecting lives and property of Nigerians.
Remember, power belongs to the people. One day, when the people have had enough, they will not be silenced. They will not accept to live in continued fear. One day, the people will rise and resist incompetence, and reclaim their right to live in peace and safety. Only then will the government realise that the people’s voice is stronger than bombs, and failed leadership.
gauge instead of waiting endlessly. The differnce b/w the narrow gauge & standard gauge is 100km/h against 140km/h. Remember he built the Itakpe-Warri Standard gauge which had been abandoned for 30 years. Given time, the SG for the Eastern corridor would still have been achieved.
Amaechi had drawn up a standard gauge plan for the Eastern rail corridor, from PH through the Eastern States to Maiduguri. Due to huge costs at the time, he convinced the President to build a new Narrow gauge while the country sourced for funds to constrct the planned standard/1
When Ameachi was Minister of Transportation, he built the Standard Gauge railways across all regions in Nigeria except the South East of Nigeria
Back then, he didn't need the South East; today, he does
Life is a cycle
If you like, burn your bridges
I condemn the terrible, absolutely vile & senseless murder of innocent citizens @ the St Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Owo. Our Security Agencies in collaboration with Govt at all levels need to step up intelligence & work round the clock to nip such acts of terror in the bud
Even the leader of the APC, the one & only Jagaban, testifies of Rotimi Amaechi as the rallying point, the unifier. @ChibuikeAmaechi’s courage, performance & honesty is what the nation needs now. No more quarreling please. APC delegates, let’s give it up for Amaechi. #Amaechi2023
@Bonazo5@yinkanubi@OlaniranEmmanu9@ProfOsinbajo Amaechi ticks all of those requirements. Google how he curbed militancy and criminality in Rivers State. He has a strong character & is a proven transparent leader - Everyone in Rivers knew the contents of the State’s Budgets & how monies were being spent. He is tested & trusted.
