Honoured to be invited by the officials of Tadoba Tiger Reserve for a four-day visit (8–11 July). During the visit organized a workshop on the ecological significance of ants, led ant surveys and species identification exercises, and engaged with forest officers and frontline staff to highlight the indispensable role of ants in sustaining healthy forest ecosystems. It was a rewarding opportunity to promote the idea that effective conservation extends beyond charismatic megafauna to include the countless small organisms that underpin biodiversity and ecosystem resilience.
