Option should expire at 3:15 based on last 30 min avg. on expiry day. CAS will have better transparency.
If SEBI really cares about all then they should do this.
@vivbajaj@AndhiwalNirbhay Vivek ji, Sebi could have warned us about it. Something like "Dear retail traders, we are implementing a new CAS system which may distort the index closing price and option premiums might behave abruptly during the first few sessions, avoid options trading as much as possible" 😂
@NSEIndia NSE, BSE, SEBI are supposed to call top 100 retail traders and propose whatever new system they want to implement. That way they can get better clarity on the same. Imposing something like CAS and then making option traders life Hell should have been avoided. 😐
@itsAdityaT@Swapnja_Sharmaa Nifty teleported from down BE of ironfly to upside max loss area and gave instant maxlosd at 3:30PM on 3rd Aug. Lost 1.2% of capital. Nightmare for Option Sellers. How are you managing your trades?
@Swapnja_Sharmaa@HarshKa49485508 Have you seen last 2 days option premiums? Can you explain how to short a premium moving 50 points within seconds? And 0dte how will I know the straddle price will go zero? CAS can teleport the Index far away at 3:30PM which will give max profit or loss instantly! Please explain
@NSEIndia@ashishchauhan 3rd Aug Nifty was at left of my Ironfly and after this fucking CAS market just teleported to far right and gave instant max loss. Before CAS I could have booked profits while market was at the middle of my straddle. But now I am blind and can't do anything. #rollbackCAS
The exchanges, brokers and traders are eventually all going to live with the consequences of CAS.
We're all on the same side here, so directing our anger at NSE and BSE isn't the right target.
Exchanges execute regulatory decisions. If we want accountability, it should be directed at the regulators and policymakers responsible for those decisions, not the institutions tasked with implementing them.
