If the entire closing value is based on the last 15 minutes, what is the purpose of running the options market from 9:15 AM to 3:15 PM?
A retail trader can carry a position that looks safe at 3:15 PM, only to see the final closing move 100โ200 points against them, with no live chart or price to judge or manage that risk.
If the objective is retail investor protection, who is actually being protected?
Why not simply close the options segment at 3:15 PM and eliminate this uncertainty?
