@MariaAlbertsen_ was a leading figure within the profession. A prominent voice on standards, the pioneer behind National Counsellors Day and the founder of a major membership platform for therapists. Her contribution should absolutely be publicly acknowledged and celebrated

I sincerely hope certain people and organisations acknowledge Maria's contribution to this profession publicly and generously. Especially because there are several organisations and prominent people who whose careers and work has had its way paved by Maria's pioneering influence.

Have just seen the sad, sad news about @MariaAlbertsen_ and am in complete shock. Maria had become a great friend and I admired her passion, integrity and commitment for fairness.

There’s so much more to say but for now my heart goes out to her family, especially her children.
