The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, has issued an Office Memorandum calling upon all Bureau Heads and autonomous organizations under its administrative control to adopt and promote austerity measures and nationally responsible lifestyle choices.

The Department has urged institutions and employees to actively implement these measures at the organizational level and disseminate them widely to encourage sustainable practices, efficient resource utilization, and prudent public expenditure.

The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has taken action against misleading digital practices that compromise informed consumer choice.

🔹 PhysicsWallah has been fined ₹5 lakh.
🔹 McAfee has been fined ₹1 lakh.
