@Sjopinion10 If Rugby League can do it and they are basically penniless then I’m sure the premier league can do it, could probably charge £20 per month and make a much better job of it.
@LeagueFreak In the UK where nothing happens we have a proper sports market and RL is a tiny part of it, I’m from Manchester where most people have barely heard of the sport, when I told people there was a Canadian team playing in the UK league, most people thought that was stupid and it was.
@laurennUTD I watched a bit of both games last night and the speed of the Bayern game looked sped up compared to the Arsenal game. We’d get battered against PSG, Real or Bayern our midfield would be chasing shadows.
@LeagueFreak To be honest Hull KR treated it like a trial game, smashed a weaker opponent for 30 minutes then coasted home without too much effort, despite their opponents playing chaos footy throwing it about everywhere. The Broncos looked desperate to win which is strange for a trial game.
@SnrHuevo@CamDonDuncan How many clubs in the league would meet that criteria? Odsal? Craven Park? the Jungle? Belle Vue? What’s Wigans deal re making money from the stadium? Do Toulouse own their own ground? If London go up where are they playing?
@Wynne202@LeagueFreak@leethebuilder I think the perception of the competitions are different it’s seen as 1 of the top 2 sports in Australia, it’s way down the list here, darts and snooker probably get better TV deals.
@Wynne202@LeagueFreak@leethebuilder That model wouldn’t work as there isn’t enough of a TV deal to go round, it’s a part time sport paying full time wages. I’ve lost a lot of interest in the game over here. As a Salford fan I can’t feign interest in a team that’s not competitive I don’t care what league they are in
