“Being the oldest of seven kids, our parents had trouble sending us to school,” said Potter. “I utilized the tuition waiver to go to school.”

This is Staff Sgt. Stephanie Gilbertie’s Story.

Gilbertie joined the Connecticut Army National Guard on March 19th, 2010, enlisting as a 31B, Military Police.  She was 20 years old, then a sophomore at Tunxis Community College, Studying criminal justice.
