@ciacsports#ciacfb coaches a.k.a. #AntiCovidders smdh!
#Covid19 is still a pandemic...
Glad the #DPH & the @GovNedLamont muscled up on these folx otherwise there would have been wakes & funerals not pep rallies & games! https://t.co/58cOKtSOij
@PjBuonocore@ciacsports We wouldn't and its a real dilemma. Hopefully the emotional turmoil as well as the educational impacts are fully mitigated as folx get back to school safely. Willingness to expand beyond traditional seasonal play for Fall sports will be embraced. Sports matter!
@PjBuonocore@ciacsports C'mon Bonez... the public health crisis still exists. Playing 11 on 11 full contact football places more folx at risk to infection, while families have the choice to risk the health of their children in any way but certainly not other children and families who are risk averse...
@Only1CoachG This is also true. As the sole proprietor of decision making for its member schools, and a private non-profit the @ciacsports could have chosen to sanction football this fall in opposition to the DPH guidance but they didn't. Some credit is due...
Correct decision, made far too late in the #game. Poor leadership and lack of any true accountability for @ciacsports are elements of this saga that most journalists fail to recognize or seek to expose...

#Connecticut#LETTHEMPLAY We wish this student athlete a speedy & full recovery. Do all the rally attendees need testing or 14 days in isolation? How do we keep all students safe until we know who else is positive? Coaches are responsible for this!

#Waterbury A small but fierce crowd assembled at city hall in Waterbury to further the fight to get cops out of our schools. Just read Superintendent Ruffin’s and Chief Spagnolo’s responses and its easy to see how cold-hearted and misinformed they are.

#RACCE is hiring (2) youth organizers who will organize Waterbury youth to pursue racial justice in our schools. If you have experience or the motivation to work on social issues and directly address systems of oppression fill it out... https://t.co/8nN9FhG8tz
@9casey72 Mounting doesn't = meet the narrative it just means we will have more school-based evidence in a month than we do now. That evidence means more than "summer ball" based anecdotes...
Athletes will not be the only ones impacted by an increase of #COVID19 we all share the responsibilities and will all be impacted by rates of infection increasing. There is mounting mounting evidence that starting school is increasing infection rates: https://t.co/7TIs8128VM
@WestiesGirlsBB There are many solutions. Let's delay, not cancel Fall sports until we have more time to calibrate the data post school re-openings... say 11/1/2020.
#Lungarini has long struggled to make critical decisions his entire professional career. He has struggled to be innovative & at times the authenticity of his work products have been called into question as his own. Poor choice for the job. No football this Fall is correct call.
It is ironic: the crazed parents are killing him and he and the CIAC are the reason the discussion continues. If you are pro-playing Lungarini has been your biggest advocate. If he is to be criticized it’s for not listening from the outset to the DPH health experts. #cthsfb
Good decision and strong leadership by DPH. No football in the Fall will bring temporary pain and hurt feelings but even if one life was saved and one infection stopped its well worth it... @ciacsports still doesn't get it but...
