You are appreciated. π
All TDSB schools and sites are closed today due to the weather forecast. In addition, Friday, February 14, is PA Day for all students, and Monday, February 17, is Family Day. Enjoy your first #SnowDay of the year, and we'll see you on Tuesday!
To all evening caretakers leaving your buildings at 11pm - please drive safe!! The roads are terrible.
To all day caretakers starting their days at 5am - please also drive safe in case the plows don't make it out tonight!

Have an amazing first day back everyone β€οΈ
A big thank-you to our custodial & facilities staff who worked diligently through summer to ensure our schools were ready to receive Ss. π
@janiceferguson@LeftyCaretaker Every few months, we caretakers get a chance to post for any school within the TDSB. We can post for vacant schools (retirements, long term absences, etc) or a wish list for somewhere we've had our eye on. Some choose to stay long term or explore other buildings. π₯°
1/2 Good morning everyone, it's currently -14 degrees yet feeling like -21.
Your caretakers were in on the weekend & early this morning to ensure the school grounds are as safe as possible. However, mother nature doesn't always co-operate. Please bear with your facilities staff
@LeftyCaretaker My issue is when they send extra help to a high school instead of elementary.
Send help to students capable of cleaning up after themselves or short staff schools with multiple carpets in each room, students sit on floor, lick floor occasionally & are more vulnerable. π₯΄
Today is National Custodian Day! Thank you to all the incredible caretakers, custodial, and maintenance staff for your commitment to our schools and for ensuring the health and safety of everyone who walks through our doors.
Please use your cooling stations located in your facilities! They are there for relief.
Stay hydrated.
Tips for staying cool:
1. Turn off lights
2. Keep blinds shut
3. Switch off unused electronics
4. Remove laptop carts from classrooms as they generate quite a bit of heat
