@DanNeidle You should get one house tax-free, to encourage ownership. But additional homes should be taxed at the maximum historic price paid - otherwise, dishonest buyers will buy from seller and then sell to their family at artificially low prices to reduce their tax burden
@GergelyOrosz This got me too - simple personal portfolio site suddenly saw traffic of 3,000 requests per hour (almost 1/s). Cost me £10/day for 3 days before I realised (my annual hosting bill is about £150).
I wrote a custom throttling middleware, all good now. Fun technical exercise
@DanielW_Kiwi Pythonista on iPhone (don’t know about Android). Surprisingly good and has some 3rd packages eg matplotlib. Use it any time I’m at an airport. Not free though but worth it IMO
@MatterOfStats@OneQnShootout And the chart seemed to show nothing of real value - I think the sample sizes for each grid-point are just too small (how many times does each individual chaser have to chase a target if 12, AND gets 2 questions wrong on the way?)
@MatterOfStats@OneQnShootout I did a follow-up chart on a LinkedIn comment where I divided wrong answers by target to give the %, but that has the problem of combining the X and Y values, meaning they are no longer independent.
