The grad student contributors at CU Boulder's AAP can help give you feedback on things like: which mentor is the best fit for my interests? What kinds of things should be in my personal statement? How are applications evaluated and what information are faculty looking for?
Passionate about doing PhD in neuroscience research, but find applying to grad school to be a bit mysterious? If you're considering CU Boulder's Behavioral Neuroscience program, we can help demystify the process with our Application Assistance Program!

We won’t be at SFN but you can see what we’ve been up to with our preprint that dropped today! @annefpierce used GrabDA (from @yulonglilab) to ask whether the opportunity to access different voles corresponds to diff in dopamine release. Spoiler! Pair bond partner > unknown vole
CONGRATULATIONS @anni3_ly for receiving a 2nd percentile score for her NIMH F31! A well deserved and monumental achievement! 2nd percentile but #1 in our hearts.
Spread the word for prospective graduate students! The Behavioral Neuroscience Application Assistance program is live until Nov 1. Click here for more information and to apply: https://t.co/Sm1BLJCZKE

Welcome back, CU Neuroscience! Thank you to everyone who could make it and made our annual retreat outstanding this year, especially our keynote Dr. Erik Knight (CU Psych), our amazing grad student presenters, organizer Dillon McGovern, and quizmaster Gabe Costanza-Chavez!
My name on this list makes it officially official! I have tenure and a new title! I owe so much to so many people, especially those who took a chance when the lab's shelves were empty: Katelyn Gordon, @ANeurogirl, @julie_sadino (lab's first PhD!).

Tis official. Dr @julie_sadino is the first PhD from the Donaldson Lab. We accomplished the hooding with a minimum of awkwardness on stage (post event pictures below). Fair to say we passed this final mentor-mentee test!
From our graduate student researchers, the Awards Committee identified Dillon McGovern @DillonMcGovern1, advised by Dr. David Root @NeuronRoot, for the prestigious Dosier/Muenzinger Award for Outstanding Contributions to Basic Research. Congrats, Dillon! (6/6)
On this graduation day, we want to also celebrate the incredible accomplishment of our talented Neuroscience student researchers. Each of the following were selected by the CU Psych&Neuro faculty for their achievements over the last year (1/6)
Our second Neuroscience Thesis Award was presented to Anna McTigue, advised by Dr. Zoe Donaldson @DrZoePhD, investigated how the brain chemical oxytocin did not affect brain synchrony between socially-bonded voles. Congrats, Anna! (5/6)
