Paramedics of Perth County: Stratford, St. Marys, Mitchell, Milverton, Listowel and in between! This account is not monitored 24/7, call 911 for emergencies.
Pleased @fordnation has recognized the brave & dedicated people who protect & care for others supporting the #COVID19 effort. But disappointed Ont's dedicated Paramedics seem not to be recognized for efforts on the frontline of health #FrontLineHeroes https://t.co/31PHo42DnX
Can you explain to the ~ 8000 paramedics in Ont who put themselves at risk everyday why they were excluded from the list. We have extended ourselves beyond our regular duties to assist PH and most recently LTC. We are constantly called and relied upon. This is how we are treated
OPSEU Ambulance Communication Officers make a difference in our #COVID era, keeping frontline workers safe by screening callers with questions. Their workload has increased and are experiencing emotional and psychological challenges. They require recognition and support too.
@fordnation can you explain to me why I have to wear this PPE every shift if I and my over 8000+ Ontario Paramedic colleagues are not considered frontline or essential?!?! I’m not entirely sure how you think these covid+ patients are getting to the hospital?!
@Send_Paramedics
Tx&transport=close/physical contact with suspected\confirmed COVID pts. Nasal swabs in the community&LTC. Perform aerosol generating procedures. Separate/together = increased chance of exposure to COVID-19. What other criteria ineeds to be reviewed?@celliottability@fordnation
It’s been >24hrs since Ontario Supporting Frontline Hero’s of COVID-19 with Pandemic Pay was released Paramedics are still awaiting acknowledgment @SteveClarkPC@celliottability @JeffYurekMPP @PBethlenfalvy@fordnation @RandyPettapiece @LisaThompsonMPP @vincentkempp @krasheedmpp
It’s been ~ 24hrs since the Ford government snubbed Paramedics by failing to recognize them as Health Care Hero’s or Frontline Workers. This is @OAPCMedia (Ontario Association of Paramedic Chiefs) - The voice of Ontario Paramedic Leaders response to this indiscretion....
Q. Why are Paramedics not included in the list of workers identified in the Frontline Workers Fighting COVID-19 announcement?
.......16 hrs and counting...@celliottability@fordnation
Two of our members suffered serious injuries after falling 3 storeys while fighting a 3-alarm fire earlier this morning. We are thankful for all who have and are still looking after them as they recover. Everyone’s well-wishes are sincerely appreciated. #Toronto
Congratulations to Karen “Creepy” #19258 on a remarkable 36 year career with Paramedic Services. You have inspired many generations of paramedics and touched the lives of many in @RegionWaterloo. All the best. Keep on pedaling. 💙💛
