We've learned that an Ontario Provincial Police officer has been killed in the line of duty responding to reports of a stolen vehicle where they were met with gunfire. Our hearts extend to the fallen officers family and all OPP members at this tragic time.
He passed his probation in the morning and was gunned down and killed in the afternoon. New OPP constable Grzegorz Pierzchala—ambushed responding to a car in a ditch —was exemplary officer, @OPPCommissioner told us Tuesday night in Hagersville.

In a horrible display of employer Grinchiness, the City of Mississauga laid off CUPE 66 emergency dispatchers with no warning on December 6. A private contractor took over their jobs the very same day. #ContractingOut#privatization#canlab https://t.co/UgGViaFfFJ
