Walk 4 Water in #Hillingdon next Saturday (5 Feb).
#HS2 threatens to wreak havoc on the Mid-Chiltern chalk aquifer that provides drinking water to 3.2m Londoners.
@saveColneValley#Uxbridge#StopHS2
Only 2 more weeks until the EF! wintermoot in support of anti #HS2 resistance in Uxbridge! With HS2 wildlife walk and talk, the Oxford2Cambridge expressway campaign, tree climbing, bender building and many more hands-on practical workshops, plotting and planning for 2020!
Our water protector is still up on the drill. She's been up there since early this morning and is prepared for a long stay!
Yesterday they prepared the drill and we believe it is ready to go.
Please come to support (wave!) our brave warrior. Tea/coffee provided
So far, @EnvAgency has shown no interest in the fact that HS2 and Maple Lodge Warehouse proposals will risk permanent damage to the chalk aquifer providing water to millions on the west side of London.

This lake is home to more than 100 species of wild birds but also runs through the heart of plans for HS2. Preparations for a viaduct are already underway. @HMWTBadger told me it’ll have a devastating impact on wildlife. Full report on @5_News at 5pm.
We read today that the risks of @HS2ltd were underestimated. Not by the @RiverChess, we have been pointing this out for years, high risks to the chalk aquifer from the HS2 tunneling work. Putting at risk our drinking water and the flows in our Chalkstreams. Stop the project now!!
Partially sighted Paralympian, James Brown, who climbed on top of a plane to protest the aviation industry's contribution to climate change, has today climbed on the HS2 pile driver that is set to destroy the aquifer.
HS2 will imminently be pile driving through the Colne Valley aquifer that supplies London's drinking water. There is a real risk of damage and pollution.
HS2 will commence extensive tree felling and wet woodland clearance in Denham Country Park from Monday 3rd February. Bridges and roads will go in across our precious chalk stream and across the wet woodland.
Dear @metpoliceuk, why have your officers enabled @HS2ltd and @transportgovuk to carry out an illegal eviction today from the Harvil Road #HS2 Protection Camp, in clear breach of the Criminal Law Act (As amended by Criminal Justice and Public Order Act)? #StopHS2#ReThinkHS2
This would be a completely ILLEGAL EVICTION, in breach of a court order. If there are any legal experts in this area, those at the camp need your help, right now. 3/3
The judge was VERY SPECIFIC that the eviction order only applied to THE FOOTPATH, but today it looks like they've turned up to attempt to evict the entire camp. 2/3
At the end of last year, HS2 won an eviction order for PART OF THE FOOTPATH connecting the field off Harvil Road to the other end of the campsite in the woodland by the HOAC lake. 1/3
Reports are coming in that @ThamesVP are telling people in the Colne Valley Park in Denham that they are not allowed to exercise a legitimate right to protest against #HS2 works on a public footpath, and a mass caution - for standing on a footpath - has been issued. @TV_PCC
Court update: HS2 wished to gain possession of the footpath but were unable to show any evidence that it was required for their works. This requirement may well be important throughout the country given that HS2 intend to shut many other paths. 2/2
