Every decision about who gets promoted and who commands in our armed forces should come down to one thing and one thing only: merit.
We introduced the Restoring Merit in the Military Act to prohibit the Department of War from considering race, ethnicity, or national origin in any military personnel action, accessions, promotions, assignments, command selection, schooling. No exceptions for DEI.
Our military exists to win wars, not fill diversity spreadsheets. The men and women who lead our troops into combat should be there because they earned it, not because of a demographic box they checked.
@EMS_Sailor But you're pretty ignorant concerning civics, so that power is beyond your reach. Didn't learn much in The Navy besides Master Chief takes a hell of a big bite out of your butt, did you?
@fred_guttenberg Fred. You should talk to some trusted friends that aren't in your usual circle of advisers. It does sound like you're having trouble keeping perspective, or deliberately shifted to wild Troll.
@Sherrywoocher@fred_guttenberg@shannonrwatts Odd. I switched from Independent to Democrat to have an established party. And I've active in it. I feel invested now. Also, I don't bad mouth DSA. And I think half or more of the rabid DSA haters are oligarch moles and Republicans.
@JSVT143@fred_guttenberg I’m an old white dude, and I would have laid that on him too. Fred isn’t doing well lately, it’s a shame. I just don’t engage with him anymore.
