Well done to our Accelerate pupils this week! Mrs Godden has just had the results of Wales Rocks, a TTRS competition! Accelerate came 63rd out of 420 schools, and 6th out of 60 secondary schools! Brilliant work, everyone!

Year 7 have been working hard on their Moon diaries with Mrs Union this past fortnight! Here we have an example of 'third time for excellence!', where the pupil has redrafted and improved each draft before completing a final piece!

This week, our Accelerate pupils have been enjoying reading Roald Dahl's The Magic Finger! We have completed cloze tasks, visualised key events of the text, and considered what superpower we would like!

Today we took our English lesson outside! After discussing what adjectives are, we went on a walk around the school grounds. Once we returned to the classroom learners shared the adjectives that came to mind during the walk! It was very very windy, but we had some lovely ideas!

This week our Accelerate pupils have been hard at work in the science laboratory! Using copper oxide power and warm sulphuric acid, they made some beautiful bright blue copper sulphate crystal! Not only that, but the have also been hard at work writing up their experiment!
