Two weeks in @ExplorisSchool and the fifth graders have transformed our garden and outdoor classroom in a way I couldn't have done on my own. We weeded the outdoor classroom, the mulched pathways and strawberry beds, pulled out our spring crops, and saw a mantis!

Fifth grade has been taking ownership of the Exploris garden this year. They assessed our needs, and recommended 4 new beds. Thanks to @ExplorisPTO , we were funded with a grant to make it happen. They are finally in place and will be getting soil this week!

The fourth graders have been researching amazing women in science through the @NatGeo magazine, and their research videos are rolling into @Flipgrid ! I am so proud of their craftsmanship and storytelling.

Do you have an inclement weather day? How are you using it? (I've made a weekend-style breakfast, signed up for my first dose of the COVID vaccine, applied for a grant, and done some front yard birding.. chickadees, starlings, blue jays, cardinals, grackle!)
