This week, our Director of Public Policy, Elizabeth Oseguera, is in Washington D.C. representing the CA Alliance and our members at the Child Welfare League of America's annual conference and Advocacy Day.
CWLA is one of the most powerful coalitions in child welfare, bringing together hundreds of public and private agencies that have championed children and families since 1920. Being at this table matters, and we are proud to be there.
For our members, federal policy is not abstract. It is the difference between a young person having a stable home or losing it. That is why Elizabeth has been working the halls of Capitol Hill alongside partners including Sacramento County, Mary's Path, Pathfinder, UC Riverside, and Youth Villages, making sure California's needs are part of the national conversation.
We are grateful to CWLA for creating the space for these conversations, and grateful to our members and partners who show up, lift their voices, and refuse to let California's children be an afterthought in federal decision-making.
