I'm proud to have secured over $14 million in Community Project Funds for MA-01.

From North Adams to Oxford, these projects will strengthen infrastructure, expand educational opportunities, and improve quality of life for families and businesses across western and central Mass.

I can’t think of a more desperate admission of failed trade policy than temporarily lowering tariffs on select products to favor a political ally days before an election.

People need a permanent end to this price-hiking trade war, not temporary decisions designed to tilt an election.

[NBC News @NBCNews]

The Trump administration has granted tariff exemptions on some Canadian products, says Sen. Susan Collins, who’s facing a tough re-election battle in Maine. https://t.co/t3vAl0pHG6

[Rep. Richard Neal @RepRichardNeal]

The election hasn’t even happened yet, and Trump is already trying to rig it if it doesn’t go in his party’s favor.

The law is clear: states run their elections, not Trump. Any attempt by the Administration to bully its way into interfering with that process is an abuse of power and a threat to our democracy.

JUST IN: The Trump administration has preemptively filed a lawsuit seeking to block certification of Alaska's US Senate election if the Republican incumbent Sen. Dan Sullivan loses in the state which could decide the balance of power in the Senate. https://t.co/JHQU56KKfH

ICYMI: Another major announcement for West-East Rail!

Last Friday, I joined @MassGovernor to announce $130 million in federal funding to modernize the rail infrastructure at Springfield Union Station, ensuring the station can accommodate expanded passenger rail service.

This is just the latest milestone in what has been a remarkable series of federal investments benefiting West-East Rail, totaling more than $280 million over the last five years. Having helped write the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, I'm pleased that Massachusetts continues to reap the benefits of our historic legislative achievement.

You don't have to be a @Jeopardy champion to know that the Berkshires are one of Massachusetts' greatest treasures.

Just one of the many reasons I'm proud to represent the First District!

[Rep. Richard Neal @RepRichardNeal]

I was pleased to visit the @BerkInnovation to announce a $735,000 earmark for the BIC’s Cybersecurity Learning and Testing Facility.

As cyber threats continue to evolve, it is crucial that our manufacturing sector and public services have the resources they need to be resilient. This new centralized hub will safeguard our critical infrastructure from attacks and equip the next generation of skilled workers with hands-on training to meet the demands of a modern economy.

Republican priorities couldn’t be more clear:

The wealthiest Americans who did not need a bigger tax break are getting one, while everyone else is stuck with higher prices.

$5,500. That’s how much more the average household in MA-01 has had to spend since Trump took office.

With inflation outpacing wage growth for the sixth month, how are workers and families expected to keep up in Trump's America?

[Rep. Richard Neal @RepRichardNeal]

A month ago, I warned that Trump couldn't be trusted with more authority.

Now he’s proving it: abandoning our allies to cozy up to Putin – and at the cost of Ukrainian lives and American values.

Handing Trump more power always has consequences.

We warned about this and now Trump is showing exactly who he is: weak in the face of Putin and willing to abandon American values and allies whenever it suits him.

In classrooms, kids should only have to worry about learning – never about hiding from a gunman.

My heart breaks for the victims, their loved ones, and the entire community in Bend, Oregon.

No family should ever have to endure this.

My thoughts are with @CongressmanRaja, his family, and Indian American and Hindu communities across the country.

I’m grateful for the actions of all those involved in preventing this horrific tragedy.

Everyone deserves to live and worship without fear. We must continue to speak out and protect houses of worship in every community.

[Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi @CongressmanRaja]

My family and I were worshipping at our Hindu temple in Aurora on Sunday when a white supremacist attempted a mass shooting targeting Indian Americans. I'm grateful to those who helped prevent a tragedy, but we must come together to confront the hatred that put so many innocent lives at risk.

When businesses face hotter inflation, your wallet feels the heat too.

It’s no wonder consumer sentiment has been hitting record lows when Trump keeps fueling higher prices with his tariffs and war with Iran.

Yesterday, I visited with students and staff at the East Brookfield Head Start to highlight the good work that goes on at Head Start programs across the country every single day.

Over the last six decades, Head Start has given disadvantaged children one of the most valuable gifts we can offer: a chance—a chance to overcome barriers and achieve their potential. For the thousands of households in Massachusetts who rely on its critical services, it is a lifeline for working families striving to create a better future for their children.

That is why the Trump Administration's latest proposal to overhaul Head Start standards nationwide is reckless and misguided, and would do nothing but undermine their work and jeopardize the services children and families depend on. I urge my Republican colleagues to join us in demanding that HHS withdraw this reckless and ill-considered proposal.

The fact that we need to tell this administration that execution should never be used as entertainment speaks to a profound failure of moral judgment and basic human decency.

Such a horrific and vile spectacle should never have been considered in the first place. It's beneath the dignity and values of this country.

Working harder shouldn’t mean falling further behind, but in Trump’s America it does.

Families need relief, not more tariffs or a war that forces them to choose between what they can afford and what they must go without.

[Heather Long @byHeatherLong]

Here's the key problem...inflation has wiped out wage gains for 6 months now.

It's a financial squeeze.
Americans are trying to work more hours to make up for it, but many are still falling behind.

Many people are worse off. As BLS wrote,
In the past year, "real average hourly earnings decreased 0.7%. The change in real average hourly earnings combined with a 0.6% increase in the average workweek resulted in a 0.1% decrease in real average weekly earnings."

[Rep. Richard Neal @RepRichardNeal]

With Trump doubling down on the very policies that are accelerating inflation, Social Security’s cost-of-living adjustment will only struggle to keep up.

After a lifetime of hard work, seniors deserve better than watching their benefits lose ground because of Trump.
