The #GirlSummitUg highlighted the urgent need to transition from discussions to meaningful change. With a focus on implementation, accountability &collaboration,we must honor every girl's rights by transforming promises into action & ensuring their protection in every community.
A call-out to the culture shapers:
✨ Influencers — make safety the trend.
🎤 Bar hosts, DJs, MCs — your vibe sets the tone.
📸 Creators — your voice moves the culture.
Let’s be Active Bystanders. Let’s protect women & girls. Every action matters. END GBV
#16DaysOfActivism
Digital violence is not just “online drama.” It is real violence.
It is harassment, stalking, threats, bullying, and the non-consensual sharing of images. It invades a woman’s privacy, attacks her dignity, silences her voice, and steals her sense of safety even in the one place that should allow her to connect and express herself freely.
Behind every hateful message, every leaked photo, every threat sent through a screen, is a woman who feels afraid, ashamed, isolated or powerless. Digital violence doesn’t end when the device switches off its impact follows her into her everyday life.
With almost 60% of women globally facing this reality, we cannot ignore it. We cannot normalize it. We cannot stay silent.
Every woman deserves to be safe online. Every voice deserves respect.

Even average players can shine like stars in a rapidly growing team because everybody is winning and no one checks too closely. But when growth stops, the average ones get exposed quickly.
As the week begins reflect on what your contributions will look like when you are asked to account.

Child marriage is not a cultural relic. It is a predictable outcome when girls live in households that go hungry, in countries that won’t register their existence, in systems that see them as disposable.
#EndChildMarriage#GirlSummitUg
Girls' rights associations and consortiums need to push for girls' seats on national technical working groups, national leadership councils, and Global Fund CCM committees, so young people prioritize budgeting and friendly policies.

Ending AIDS by 2030 is ambitious but achievable with collective effort.
We need sustained investment, policy commitment, and unwavering focus on prevention, testing, treatment, and rights.

Today, @cehurduganda and HRAPF acknowledge the Constitutional Court’s judgement on the consolidated petitions regarding the termination of pregnancy in Uganda.
We welcome the Court’s minority decision affirming women’s autonomy, health, and dignity in Uganda.
As the world marks the Day for the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse of Children, the Coalition on Sexual Violence Against Children in Uganda, where AfriChild is a member, raises concern about the rising exposure of children to harmful and unsafe media content.
Advocating for SRHR isn’t about rejecting values, it’s about upholding dignity, equality, and the fundamental right to make informed decisions. When people are empowered, communities grow stronger.
