Corstorphine & Wright (@CWrightarch) has completed The Scoop, a four-storey office extension in Southwark, London. Named for its unique gouge in the white-brick façade, the design highlights the adjacent Grade II-listed church’s circular window. ⚪🧱
The extension features a plasma-cut stainless steel rib structure filled with glazed bricks, creating a striking visual contrast with the existing office. Advanced 3D parametric modeling was used to shape each brick, ensuring precise assembly on-site. This thoughtful design enriches the streetscape, providing a moment of surprise for pedestrians and cyclists alike.
