@Sad_HAMs_ Our teachers had paddles in their desks. Occasionally a kid would be taken into the hall and paddled. The whole class would be quiet so we could hear the smack, then class would resume. We also had the giant paper cutter sitting out in the open, special class didn’t.

@johnmccumber FWIW - I test drove the Y and let it drive me through a bunch of construction and other interstate craziness; was thoroughly impressed. Trying to get my FIL to try it but he doesn’t trust it; “sounds scary”. He shouldn’t be driving much and his bubble of comfort is shrinking.
