From July 22-28, the Washington State Parks Recreational Boating Safety Program is supporting Paddle Safe Week, a statewide effort to create a culture of safety around paddle sports. The single, most important way to paddle safely is to always wear a life jacket on the water.

At approximately 3:00pm an adult male was witnessed going under the water at Horseshoe Lake Park in Woodland. Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue responded with the Technical Rescue Team including crews from FD6 and VFD. Woodland PD, Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office, and AMR also responded

We are conducting a Live Fire Training House burn today in La Center at 515 E. Birch St, just North of CCFR Station 23. The streets on the SW corner of the block (Birch Ave and 5thStreet) will be closed by La Center Public Works.
