I'm proud to announce that today San Francisco became the first major American city with 80% of our eligible residents having received a vaccine dose.
On Tuesday we'll remove nearly all local COVID-19 restrictions.
San Francisco will be fully reopen. https://t.co/RaMQy8tDAW
NEW: We’re facing a climate crisis.
We need bold action.
CA is phasing out the internal combustion engine.
By 2035 every new car sold in CA will be an emission free vehicle.
Cars shouldn’t give our kids asthma.
Make wildfires worse.
Melt glaciers.
Or raise sea levels.
These pictures cry out for change. CA has invested more in wildfire prevention than any time in our history. Enacted bold climate policies. But it’s not enough.
We must do more. We need action at EVERY level. CA cannot do this alone.
Climate change is REAL.
So please — VOTE.
It’s raining ash in California, forcing us to wear a different kind of mask than we wear for the pandemic when we go buy the generator we need for either rolling blackouts or preemptive outages so we can work from home if we haven’t been evacuated or our house hasn't burned down
.@jonathanvswan: “Oh, you’re doing death as a proportion of cases. I’m talking about death as a proportion of population. That’s where the U.S. is really bad. Much worse than South Korea, Germany, etc.”
@realdonaldtrump: “You can’t do that.”
Swan: “Why can’t I do that?”
The executive order blocking H-4 dependents from traveling to the US does nothing to improve US labor market conditions or reduce unemployment. Instead, it keeps parents separated from children and husbands separated from wives.
San Franciscans took our Stay Home order seriously, and as a result we flattened the curve and prevented a widespread COVID-19 outbreak.
Here's our timeline and plan for how we're going to gradually reopen, using data and additional safety precautions: https://t.co/ZiNNIWQEmU
To help the amazing folks leaving Airbnb we are launching a new resource. We have put all of our incredible Alumni Talent into one directory: https://t.co/b75pHk0ENr. Please use this as a resource as you look for your next hires. You'll be just as lucky to have them as we were.
We have great people leaving Airbnb, and I think other companies will love them as much as I do. If you are hiring, reach out to me at [email protected] and our team will connect you.

In March, Airbnb Experiences hosts all over the world had to stop doing what they love most. So they tried something new.
Thanks to the creativity and passion of our hosts, Airbnb Experiences are now online.

We had to pause Airbnb Experiences. Our hosts asked to offer Online Experiences so they could continue hosting. 14 days later, they are live. If you book one, I’d love your feedback.
We've seen all too terribly the consequences of those who denied warnings of a pandemic. We can't afford any more consequences of climate denial. All of us, especially young people, have to demand better of our government at every level and vote this fall. https://t.co/K8Ucu7iVDK
