Cristina Rotoni successfully defended her PhD thesis, titled "Joint ventures in plant performance: integrating plant traits, arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, and microbial partnerships to boost productivity" at Utrecht University today.
Congratulations Dr Rotoni!
Our opinion piece on soil inoculations as a tool to restore biodiversity and resilience in afforestation on post-agricultural lands. It calls for targeted strategies and monitoring to optimize ecosystem recovery.

Acaulospora scrobiculata, described by the legendary Jim Trappe in 1977. It is a special species for me as it was the first AMF species that I was able to identify by myself back in 80s when I sampled sand dunes in southern Brazil.
