@CAHimankSingla 1 case, wherein he had relief u/s 89, previous years ITR was under old tax regime , but for relief he calculated tax under new tax regime for the same fY. It is apparent that it was wrong calc, but still ITR got processed and he got refund. ITD only catches honest taxpayer.

@CA_HarshilSHETH Yes, very common issue. But how CPC's inability to process the return on time will become burden to the assessee. This should be taken up at higher level for resolve the issue and interpretation of law.
